It was a mixed night of results, featuring a combination of tight contests, big wins and several outstanding performances. With three games still remaining in the first half of the Cup, there is plenty still to play for before the League action resumes.
A special shoutout this week goes to Chris Butler, who recorded the only dish of the game week. Credit also to Martin Court and Matty Clark, who both completed dishes last week during the free week in their rearranged fixtures.
------------------------------------------------------------
🏆 Group A:
- Egham & Hythe Ladies 3 - 10 Staines Cons New:
- Staines Cons New continued their strong season with an impressive 10–3 victory over the ever-sporting Egham & Hythe Ladies. A dominant opening saw Staines race into a 3–0 lead before Maria Griffiths‑Pressman claimed a point for Egham & Hythe with a win over Dean Casey, making it 3–1. Staines Cons New then returned to winning form, taking the next five frames to stretch their advantage to 8–1. Becky Fuidge and Amber Pressman added further wins for Egham & Hythe, but Staines closed out the match in style to secure a convincing 10–3 win.

- Egham & Hythe Youth F 6 - 7 Three Tuns:
- Egham & Hythe Youth were unlucky to narrowly miss out against a strong Three Tuns side in a closely fought contest. Every frame could have gone either way, but ultimately the winning team proved more clinical when it mattered, taking their chances well. Egham & Hythe Youth made a positive start as Dan Reilly defeated Nick Rose, but Three Tuns responded by winning the next three frames to move into a 3–1 lead. Young left-hander Max James was the standout performer on the night, winning all three of his matches, including a crucial victory over George Smith to pull it back to 3–2, before defeating Nick Rose & Martin Court in the pairs with Dexter Reilly and then overcoming Leighton Cumber in the last frame to finish the match at 7-6. Three Tuns were not at their best, but they did everything required to edge the match 6 - 7 — yes, 6 –7, a saying these kids know all too well!
----------------------
- London Stone 5 - 8 NRS:
- NRS secured another cup victory with a strong 8–5 win over London Stone. The match featured a standout moment in frame 13, where London Stone’s Chris Butler produced a reverse dish against Jason Willerby. NRS made a solid start, taking a 5–3 lead after the opening set of singles and the three doubles. In the second set of singles, Stuart Mackenzie got NRS off to a flying start with a win over Nick McDonald, setting the tone for the remainder of the match. NRS went on to claim three of the final five singles to seal an impressive 8–5 victory.
----------------------
- SS&NR 7 - 6 Egham & Hythe Whites:
- SS&NR, who are still adapting to the rules, are beginning to find their feet after a hard‑fought 7–6 victory over Egham & Hythe Whites. Egham were missing key players Freddie Morrison and Dan Emmett, but full credit goes to SS&NR for their performance. SS&NR edged ahead 3–2 after the opening set of singles before Egham responded well to level the match at 4–4 going into the final set. In a tense decider, it was SS&NR who came out on top, with Wayne Timbrell defeating Bailey Hyman to secure the win for his team.

🏆🏆 Group B:
- WR All Stars 9 - 4 Jolly Butcher:
- Michael Punter continued his impressive form for WR All Stars, playing a key role in a convincing 9–4 victory over the Jolly Butcher after winning three of his four matches. WR All Stars made a flying start, racing into a 6–2 lead before Jolly Butcher mounted a brief comeback. Wins in the doubles from Jason Cooper and Keith Rozario, along with a singles victory for Leo Copper, reduced the deficit to 6–4. However, the momentum didn’t last, as WR All Stars closed out the match strongly by taking three of the final four frames to secure a deserved 9–4 win.
----------------------
- Shepperton Sports 6 - 7 Sunbury Con Club A:
- Another closely contested match between Shepperton Sports and Sunbury Con Club A saw the return of Gary Weltner to the Shepperton lineup. The tie ultimately hinged on the doubles. Shepperton Sports edged the opening five singles 3–2, but Sunbury Con Club A responded in the second set, also winning 3–2. The doubles proved decisive, with Sunbury taking two of the three frames to clinch a narrow 7–6 victory.
----------------------
- Staines Cons D 6 - 7 WR Sports A:
- WR Sports A flew out of the blocks and looked on course for a convincing victory after storming through the opening five frames. However, Staines Cons D refused to lie down and began their fightback by taking the first doubles, with Adam Gray and Jay Harmes defeating Daniel James and Rob Malik to spark a revival. That momentum saw Staines claw their way back into the contest, narrowing the deficit to 6–4. Ben Reading then stepped up at a crucial moment to halt the comeback and secure the win for WR Sports. Late consolation frames from Dan Elsey and Adam Gray reduced the final margin, but the match finished 7–6 in favour of WR Sports.
----------------------
- Sunbury Con Club B 1 - 12 Eddies:
- Eddies continued their excellent Cup form with another convincing victory over Sunbury Con Club B. Sunbury’s only frame of the night came early on, as Patrick Casey defeated Chris Atwell in the opening game. From there, it was all Eddies. Richard Hurley, Jerry Hurley and Jon Martin all won their matches to seal an emphatic 12 - 1 win, moving Eddies into top spot in Group B.
